La Boutique Chanel

Head to the 31 rue Cambon to see Chanel’s first outlet, which she founded one hundred years ago. She lived on the 1st floor of the building when she was just starting out, hosting many a social event and creating a name for herself.

This was one of her favorite cafes in the city, and remains one of the most instagrammable and visited spots in .

Le Grand Vefour

This famous gastronomic restaurant within the grounds of the Palais Royal was a much-frequented dinner reservation of Chanel’s. It’s over 200 years old , sports a beautiful Belle Epoque aesthetic and has within its walls a wealth of cultural, political and social history.

 

Le Theatres des Champs-Elysees

Where else to go after dinner but the theater? Not only did Coco Chanel frequently see shows at this venue, but she helped with the production; designing the costumes for the ballet show Le Train Bleu. Now the venue is known for its music recitals and opera.

Le Grand Palais 

Whether its hosting Fashion Week or playing host to exhibitions of beaux-arts and photography, this icon is not one to miss when visiting the city. In her day, she was both visitor and exhibitor, displaying many of her fashion collections within the massive venue.
